Johanna G. Averill
Prior to joining Gilsbar in January of 1999, Mrs. Averill worked as a staff
attorney for an Administrative Law Judge for the U. S. Department of Labor and
as a judicial clerk for a Judge Pro Tempore for the Louisiana Fourth Circuit
Court of Appeal. Ms. Averill has also practiced law for an insurance defense
firm in New Orleans. A graduate of Louisiana State University with a Bachelor
of Science degree in Marketing, Mrs. Averill received her Juris Doctor degree
from Loyola University School of Law.
Lindsey M. Ladouceur
Ms. Ladouceur is a partner in the law firm of Ladouceur and Ladouceur, L.L.C.
She has a general civil litigation practice with an emphasis on commercial
litigation, construction law, family law, and professional liability. A magna
cum laude graduate of Loyola University School of Law, Ms. Ladouceur is a Board
Certified Family Law Specialist, certified civil mediator, and divorce
mediator. Ms. Ladouceur is the former President of the New Orleans Association
for Women Attorneys and co-author of Planning for Marriage, Separation, and
Divorce: A Louisiana Perspective. As a consultant to Gilsbar, Inc.,
Ms. Ladouceur is also Professional Liability Loss Prevention Counsel to the
Louisiana State Bar Association.
Cynthia Oteri Butera
Joining Gilsbar in 1991, Ms. Butera previously practiced law for 6 years in New
Orleans. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration
from the University of New Orleans and graduated from Loyola University School
of Law where she served as Articles Editor of the Loyola Law Review. Ms. Butera
is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, American Bar
Association, Federal Bar Association, and the Law Practice Management
Section of the American Bar Association.
